I just tried not to mess with it too much.
I didn’t mess with the kicks (just EQ) but I did double the snare.
I automated the panning of the vocals to make them sound like demons popping up all around you.
I kept everything pretty dry for a thrash metal feel.in reply to: Jim Simmonds – Dead To The World MIX #4837That’s pretty darn cool. It’s like my mix but then well executed :D
Great snare and kicksin reply to: Alex Alberdi – Dead To The World Mix Contest #4794That will do nicely on the brutal side of things
I really like this one. You’ve given it a very nice agressive edge.
in reply to: Dmitry Fury – Dead To The World Mix #3189“No overdrive or distortion plugins got hurt in the making of this mix.. not” :D
in reply to: Mert Abdullah – Dead to the World Remix #3188That has the nice old school vibe as well
in reply to: Darren John Loczy – Dead To The World Mix #3187That’s a massive bass!
in reply to: Yves Cooreman – Dead To The World (Mix) #3185Another classic of mine is to add a plugin to the wrong track, and then wondering why the vocals sound weird.. which happens more often than I would like in Logic when working in the arranger.
I’m glad the old school vibe came across. I listened to Carcass, Obituary and Death to prepare :)
in reply to: Yves Cooreman – Dead To The World (Mix) #3060I’m an idiot. I hadn’t noticed a saturation plugin had been enabled on my master bus that shouldn’t have been there any more. It had sucked out the bass and made the mix sound harsh. This is the version without it. Always check your mix before bouncing and don’t bounce at midnight and with fatigued ears!!
in reply to: Vincent Emerald – Dead To The World Remix #3011Catching the old school vibe. Very nice
in reply to: Cody Leavitt – Dead To The World – Mix #2969I quite like this one
