I’ve chosen to do a straight, true to the material mix.
I hope you all like it.

I’m an idiot. I hadn’t noticed a saturation plugin had been enabled on my master bus that shouldn’t have been there any more. It had sucked out the bass and made the mix sound harsh. This is the version without it. Always check your mix before bouncing and don’t bounce at midnight and with fatigued ears!!

    Hey man,
I’ve made plenty of mistakes like that. Classic one is doing EQ with the plugin disabled and swearing up and down that I hear a difference! This mix sounds old school and definitely catches the vibe. I enjoyed it! \m/

Another classic of mine is to add a plugin to the wrong track, and then wondering why the vocals sound weird.. which happens more often than I would like in Logic when working in the arranger.

I’m glad the old school vibe came across. I listened to Carcass, Obituary and Death to prepare :)
