I’m glad you liked the vocal stuff. I decided to make the track more to my taste, I guess, than emulate the original mix. I’m a sucker for screaming vocals.
I agree, the original bass tone was great as it was. I’m more of a fan of those classic tones, than the more modern, nastier ones. I get why other people like them, but it’s just my taste. I think I just did a small amount of eq, a touch of Max bass and a limiter on the bass, if I remember rightly. Oh, and a bit of multi band ducking to clear some room for the kick. Nothing too drastic.

Great mix. Everything is really nicely balanced and stylistically spot on.
I think the mix is pretty good. Once I submitted my mix I haven’t listened again. I know I’ll find things that I don’t like. I find the best thing is to forget the last mix move into the next mix while I’m still motivated. Good work.

Thanks. yes, I did some work with the pitch and the formants of the backing vocals to create some new voices that I could play with. It strays a bit from the original mix, but I think it’s fun. I’m really glad you liked it. Thanks for taking time to check it out.
