    Hello
    That is my first time mixing metal music, which is hard to do, but I enjoy the process. So thanks for this contest. Any advice is very welcome.

    Thanks but after I took a rest I think there is too much low-end and also the kick is too loud. 🥲

    I actually don’t think the kick is too loud. I like the way the kick and snare interplay to support he groove. I think the overall mix is a little dark tho which is probably why the kick seems loud. Cheers!

    I think the mix is pretty good. Once I submitted my mix I haven’t listened again. I know I’ll find things that I don’t like. I find the best thing is to forget the last mix move into the next mix while I’m still motivated. Good work.

    I quite like the tone of this mix. As you already mentioned the bass guitar is a bit loud and maybe there were some toms that could have been brought out, but overall I think the mix is well EQ’d and balanced. Good luck!

    This mix reminds me of some old school Morbid Angel…Covenant era. It does lack some brightness which makes it sound a little woofy in the low-end. The kick level is where it should be for my tastes anyway. Perhaps a little more work on the fills would be more impactful on the fills and transitions. Overall though you retained that original vibe of this era. If you got a minute to spare check out my mix here, always looking for feedback.
