Sounds chunky! I think I hear a bit of weird phasing on the high end but maybe that’s just a SoundCloud artifact.

Not quite. I replaced the Alesis D4 kick sample included with the session files with my own kick sample, but I also left the acoustic kicks in as well. Just absolutely savaged the miked kick drums with post processing to try and get them to play nicely together.

Thanks! The kick sound was made with my studio kit’s kick drum, an 18″x22″ Mapex with 5 mics in total on it including the Solomon LoFreq sub mic to bring the boom.

Nice! The only thing I would really call a complaint is that I think the delay on the lead vocal is either a little too short, or a little too loud. I would have either increased the delay time to a quarter note at least, or bring the delay back a little more in the mix. Its a little bit distracting as it is now.
Really thats just me nitpicking though. Sounds badass overall!

The vocal automation was just a bit of fun, the arrangement is pretty straightforward on this track so I was looking for some ways to spice it up a little.

That’s 100% the snare as recorded. No additional samples or triggering, just some cleanup, compression, and a parallel trash track with a bit of ‘verb.
