in reply to: Pop Galaxy – “Glow” Remix #16569
If I am not mistaken, this was the first entry of the contest. That deserves a price in its own right I would say.
(my link: thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)in reply to: Brett Trout- Production Mix and Master- GLOW #16568Well done! That bit in the verse with the octave in the voice. If someone had created a medley, now that would have been something else.
But a great version this one!
(my link: thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)Very rough but executed nicely. What I really like about it, respect other versions, is that you let the voice count the most in the song.
I really like that when people take that as a direction.
(my link: thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)in reply to: Lianne Kaye – Glow (Remix by Jesper Waller) #16566What a great vibe. That should be brought forward to an even better mix. Don’t get me wrong. It sounds great as it is. But I mean Top Notch level mixing. Because the vibe is fantastic.
(my link: thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)You have put a lot of time and effort in it and some great great ideas came out. Well done! Especially that bending and the end of the first chorus. Haha. Nice ideas man!
(my link: thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)in reply to: Glow (produced by Fritz) [power pop/rock] #16564That is an incredibly nice sounding reverb at the beginning. The rest is not to my taste but I must admit….the contrast is really really great. You have done a fine job on that one!
(my link: thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)Love the vocal effects!!! Great video and surprising beginning. Started out as a bit of a Metallica thins. Great!
(my link: thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)in reply to: Lianne Kaye – Glow Contest 2023 – Andre de Channes #16468This morning I checked my messages regarding the contest in a forwarded folder I created and…..2 new entries. “But how, the expiring date was 2 June”, I thought. But nevertheless…let’s have a listen. It started and I got caught straight away. Well done Andre!!!!! Listened to the whole song. Fantastic. A Phil Collins fill to start the solo and then this great part. Keep up the good work!
(my link: thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)Got nothing else to do so let’s listen to a few more versions of this epic song. :-) Nice one!!! Nice orchestra indeed. I would have used less compression on the voice because I think that her voice does not need that. At least in the verses. Whoah! That voice after the first chorus. Well done!!!! Love it!!!
(my link if you would like to have a listen – thanks a lot – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)in reply to: MikeGabriel – Glow Production+Remix #16321Well Mike. Late or not. You finished and that is important as well. Most of us have problems finishing. As Andrew Scheps says: A mix is never finished.
Nice guitar sound between the chorus and second verse. Instead that sound in the solo could have been a bit more upfront. But hey, who am I to judge. Keep on making music. Enjoy life!!!
(here’s my track – thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)in reply to: I miss the dead line.. but i post anyway #16320#rentaroot
Yeah, definitely he had some good ideas. I like the chorus groove. And to Pedro….I totally understand missing a deadline. :-)
(my link: sorry – just would like some more feedback on my version – thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)in reply to: Prodotto da Andy Vezi Glow Lianne Kaye #16319That drum kit sounds killer. What do you use for it? I liked the double kick in the verses. Gives it a bit of an entry. Great!
(my link: sorry – just would like some more feedback on my version – thanks – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWdOjRSmlo0)Hey Federico,
So nice of you to leave a final comment for everybody to enjoy!
Enjoy life, enjoy making music!!!!in reply to: Lianne Kaye – Glow | production by Patrick Class #16317#Lex Luthier #Studiowerks
As far as the tom sound goes, you could be right there. I just listened a bit to the latest work of Carrie Underwood (after I had played everything) and I noticed that the music is all in the back. Drums are definitely not upfront and I choose for a as most possible drum sound I could. Also because I have to use software for that but did not want to have it sounded like software…if you know what I mean. As for the strings, I carefully choose the right notes that go with the same harmonics as the voices and guitars. That being said…..I always do something with good comments and always have a second guess. So thanks to you all for that and good luck. Enjoy making music!!!!in reply to: Lianne Kaye- Glow Production- Joey Thiele #16082Wow. Great production!!!
