Good evening, everybody.
Just a couple of friendly thoughts:
– it’s nice that everyone has read the rules carefully, however, it’s worth keeping in mind that Warren, Lianne and others in the organization work, have careers to pursue, and the dates of a free, open contest (but with real, tangible prizes) may not be at the top of the priority list.
– sure, it would be nice to have quick and efficient communication, and I’m sure that is the case when it comes to the paid courses and workshops offered by the academy. I personally do not know any of you gentlemen, but I am sure at least 3/4 of us have jobs and careers. Are you really waiting for the result of a free contest as if your life depended on the outcome?
– I have also noticed that many entries have been posted well past the deadline, blatantly ignoring the very rules that some of you are so vehemently challenging. Will you also be so fiscal when a late entry is awarded instead of your own? Or will you send letters of protest to the newspapers?
Take it lightly, folks… it’s free, there’s just so much to learn from each other, we should all just be thankful for the opportunity.
In conclusion, give my song one last listen!
Federico.

Guys, now that the games are over I would like to leave just one last message.
I want to thank so much everyone who left a comment (positive or negative) and who listened to my entire track and watched the entire video. I know for sure that the effort paid off, we spent so much time writing and refining the individual parts, so it felt only right to record each performance in a single take, including the small mistakes.
No cuts, no overdubs, no samples. It’s all on video.
I listened to dozens of great tracks, you are all amazing. At least four or five times I said, “Fuck, why didn’t I think of that?”
When I think about how much unheard talent there is in the world, and the crap music that is fed to us by radio stations and majors, I want to scream.
I want to thank Warren, for giving us a place to showcase our talents and progress. It is a huge effort, but the community is solid and cooperative, honest and creative.
Honesty, in the end, always pays off.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.Federico
Thank you very much Arnaud!
in reply to: Lianne Kaye – Glow Reggae Mix (by: sheltone) #16072Very well done, a funny version indeed!
The only thing that sounds bad is the heavy tuning of Lianne’s voice (no offence, it’s just very very present)Thanks Vasilis, really appreciated!
in reply to: Jagannath – Glow Remix #16003Powerful mix and interesting sounds!
Thanks man, glad you liked it!
You already did man, and thank you!
here it is anyway https://ratemymix.com/topic/full-band-glow-production-aerosmith-style-rock-ballad/I see we share some neurons man! Your mix is crispier, more modern, as the playing. I really like it a lot!
I preferred a softer approach, due to Lianne’s voice character and interpretation ;-)Dude let me tell you, that DW drumset is so powerful I almost blew up my overheads…
When a drummer knows what he’s doing. I did almost nothing on the drums, it’s comical really. I’d like to post a screenshot of the mixer…I see we share some neurons man! Your mix is crispier, more modern, as the playing. I really like it a lot!
