in reply to: AlexKu – Glow Remix #14399Hey AlexKu. First of all thank you for your kind words on my entry. You ask me for my opinion on your song. I will be honest cause I think that is best for someone who learn things. I’m still learning and I like honest comments.
Bass: sounds great and it is well played and it is good in arrangement.
Drums: I think this patern doesn’t work well in Chorus. It doesnt lock with bass and the rest of instruments. Also in my opinion Drums are way to quiet
Transitions: this is something I didn’t do well for a long time. You have to do something to announce change from verse to bridge an to chorus. That create tension and movement in song.
“Solo part” I think you should do something here anything this is a twist part in song. You can make orchestral part, guitar solo, piano arpeggios, Synth solo. Anything.
I Like how you treated Vocals. I like Reverb you put on vocal when she sing that Yeah yeah yeah before last chorus.
I think guitars are great but when drums are so quiet fels like guitars are to loud and to much in your face.
That pad you put underneath is good.
Please take my comments as my subjective opinion.
I hope my coments will help you in your mixing journey.
I wish you all the best.

in reply to: Emil Biscan – Lianne Kaye – Glow Production #13784Thanks timhoffmann. Well… if you listen it carefully, guitars are pretty simple but effective in arrangement.

in reply to: Emil Biscan – Lianne Kaye – Glow Production #13668Thanks Gibsonfish1. For guitar I used ML soundlab ML-800 2.0 (Marshall) That 2.0 version is great. Much better than V1. I just updated it before starting to make arrangement for thi song so I use it emediately. 😄 Bass is pure D.I. Bit of EQ and a lot of compression.🎸🤘🍻

in reply to: Emil Biscan – Lianne Kaye – Glow Production #13406Thanks to all. Whish you all the best. There is a lot of great ideas and mixes in this contest. So many creative and different aproaches. 🍻
Nice one. Interesting vibe! I feel like you could make bass a bit more louder or present but hey… I like to hear different approach.
in reply to: Emil Biscan – Lianne Kaye – Glow Production #13331I used Slate drums. Best choice if you need to do thing fast. That drums are already heavy processed so you don’t have to mix it a lot and you can focus on arrangement and important things like music hehehe. I used “hybrid CLA kit” with a few of my samples added. Best kit for power pop balads.
