Hi Ron, Thanks for the compliment. You’ve got a good vocal presence there, it’s a nice intimate mix at the beginning. The kick sample is a little muddy for me, maybe a high pass to 40Hz, an EQ cut from about 130/140 to 300/400, and an EQ boost at 3-5k would help find its space. It’s subjective of course :-)

I bet that beer at 0:44 is at the top of the plugin chain for those guitars hey Ed? haha Congrats to the team there for pulling off an awesome remix.

Haha. The beer “removes the fizz” out of the guitar sound ;-) Thanks for the kind words!

Hi Ed, Yes, can’t help but LOVE those triplet fills! 😊😊

My link is indeed buried… Took me a while to find it. 😁
The top post/link to my production is broken, so you need to scroll down the page a bit to the link that works:

    All the best! 😊😊

Well done, arrangement & the mix definitely sounds professional. Well-balanced, loud and thiccc but still dynamic. The only criticism is the amount of pitch correction on Lianne’s vocals, IMO because the rest of the mix sounds pretty organic the heavily tuned vocals stand out. I decided to manually correct every note to diminish the level of audible auto-tune effect even while I aimed for more modern pop/electronic sound.

Yes you’re right, the YT-version is not comparable to the one from your own website…
As you used a real Hammond with Leslie, I *MUST* like your version! I’m using a HX3, the best hardware emulation you can get (without having to lift the immense weight). If you’re organ-player is interested: https://shop.keyboardpartner.de/

    Good luck to you. 🎹

    Ed,

You asked for a link to my contest submission over at YouTube. They keep deleting the link. I’ll leave it for you here. Thx for giving it a listen:
