Round and soft lowend, very pleasing on my headphones!
Did you use a BAX EQ or something similar on the masterbus?

    Thanks Markus!
No, it’s not Creepy Piano 3 or Atmos 3. There is Bleass Shimmer Reverb on guitar when the bridge to chorus kicks in (at 0:44 min). And I used the samplitude original sansula sound with a slow attack and a dark reverb. That’s the subtile dark sound that you can hear starting at about 0:30min. On the chorus I used brainworx Oberhausen (this piano like mid-sound on the right side.

I think they all brought you “on the wrong track” :-)

I listened to many entries in this competition and this one really sounds unique!
It has a touch of a desperate mood to it, which fits with the lyrics.

I like the transition between the 1.chorus and the 2.verse, so smooth an floating.
And I like this simple but constant melody you started with. I also tried to gave this song a catchy melody, I think it really needs one.

    Superb entry drExciter!

As I would say from Weeze, Germany – Home of Parookaville: “Bedankt!!”

Rhythmic placement and timing are excellent on this one!
Listening to 2.verse tells me that your’re playing the guitar for some time :-), well thought out!

    Good Job!

I was absent for a few days…thanks for all your compliments!
Took some time to place all that chimes/percussion sounds into the right place, but really helps to keep your attention to the end.

I like the vibrato FX on intro.
Catches the mood of the following lyrics perfectly.

    Good choice

I’m totally unfamiliar with this genre, but I think this is a really good entry!

Well chosen set of sounds to create a unique sounding track. SAW-melody is great, too.
And a really great mix – superior instrument placement!

    Solid track, Dusan!

    “Screamin out” – Wuuiihhh!
I caught myself waiting for this in the second chorus.

    Really good Mix also.

Definitely the best guitar solo that I listened to so far in this competition, wish you’ve taken it one note longer and faded a little more :-)

Piano sounds great, but sometimes it “smears” a little too much into the reverb (for my taste, reverb always is an individual thing)
But everyone who ever tried to build such a dense track with this type of really big reverb knows how hard this could be to handle!

    Great job Igor!

Totally different approach than my entry, but man: “I LOVE IT”
Tempo maxed out before the vocals get too cheesy, nice vinyl-FX in the beginning together with drum-/synthsound choice beams you right back into the 80s.

Feels like a Rocky movie night drive scene to me.
And the guitars are so beautifully blended.

Congrats Lukether to this entry, I think this could be a winner!

This forward bass drum in second verse is so nice!
Large but very well fitting reverb space in the chorus.
Slightly distracting overspeaking click at the very end, but that would be easy to remove.

    Well mixed, superb entry Deive!

Although this isn’t a video competition, that’s really an impressive one you’ve done here!
As you are a little distracted by the video first time listening, you can easily overlook that this minimalistic approach to the audiotrack is carefully arranged.

I recommend everybody to listen a second time without looking at the video to recognize that this audio entry is a great piece of art, too.

    Awesome work guys!!

Yeah, Valhalla is a great tool to play with! I’m a bassplayer and when I play for myself I often end up with tons of reverb, too.
Recently I purchased a plugin called Bleass Shimmer. It looks unspectacular but man, it creates a really nice shimmer reverb. Try it out, I think you’ll like it!

Yes the synth are a little buried as they are legato and “paddy”. Luckily your guitars are Wiiidddee!

Yes, it’s my own voice, recorded it 4 times to get a rich sounding backing.
I didn’t wanted it to pop out in front too much, as this should support Lianne’s vocals.

Thank you so much for your commendation as I put a lot of effort into this.
The main difference to your project is that I can watch your hard work as you showed us your creation process “live” in your video.

Thanks again and all the best to you,
    Andreas
