This was a big leap outside the comfort zone, but I hope you guys like it! Best of luck to you all!
Amazing solo but overall a really good production. I’m happy to hear more and more heavy submissions here 🤘
A lot of energy on this one!
I think it could be even better when you try to shorten some reverbs and reduce it in chorus.
Also I would try to separate frequencies in the midrange a little more to make it easier to distinguish between the instruments better.
I know that could be really challenging when you’ve such a wall of sound! This 2-voice solo exit is killer!!
Nice one. Thanks for listening and for the feedback. I agree I probably went overboard with the reverb…I just like Valhalla too much haha. And not overcrowding the high mids especially with the high gain guitars was definitely a battle. Tried sidechaining the synths but I think I just ended up burying them lol. Thanks for listening dude, I’ll be sure to check out your entry too, if you’ve got one!
Yeah, Valhalla is a great tool to play with! I’m a bassplayer and when I play for myself I often end up with tons of reverb, too.
Recently I purchased a plugin called Bleass Shimmer. It looks unspectacular but man, it creates a really nice shimmer reverb. Try it out, I think you’ll like it!Yes the synth are a little buried as they are legato and “paddy”. Luckily your guitars are Wiiidddee!
Never heard of Bleass, I will definitely check that out! Yah I just jumped back into the session and realized my side chain comp was spazzing lol, oh well, they probably wont be looking for a heavy version anyway. Yours is pretty cool btw! Really like that arp you added
A very nice mixture of heavy electric and acoustic guitar.
I think this definitely wins the wildest guitar solo category! Very powerful ending, good job!
Sweet solo! 👍
