Sounds really good! Great job Shaun! Keeps the original vibe, but adds that little bit of “oomph” it needed! Good Luck!

its really good mix, but one thing, lot of modern style triggers, used on drums.

Nice mix, I can say, just for my taste, that I would have left less presence on the kick and a wider stereo image of the overheads. Anyway, well done!

I was told it was “more 90’s than 90’s” LOL I definitely left a ton of click on the kick. Thanks for listening, and good luck.

Thanks for the listen. Probably could have pulled out a tad of the click on the kick in hindsight, but i was kind of going for over the top at the same time…maybe too far LOL. I have received a few comments about the overheads. I used a stereo widening effect on the guitars, and also had the overheads panned only slightly inward. I think the combination left them feeling a little mono. Good to know for the future as i don’t typically use widening effects. Good luck to you!

Really cool snappy vibe Shaun hehe
I like the overall atmosphere you had for this mix. Since you kept the vocals at moderate volume level, I would just carve the midrange on the guitars a little bit more so the words could come through a bit more easily.

Sounds chunky! I think I hear a bit of weird phasing on the high end but maybe that’s just a SoundCloud artifact.

Nice mix! Spiky, edgy and at the same time balanced. That accent on the guitars – at first I thought it was too luod, but then I kinda liked it) I know I had a problem when mixing those guitars – they are so gooood, that I was just keep raising the fader up because I wanted more of them!) It took a lot of effort to keep myself at bay, but you made them big and glorious and it sounds amazing!

Thank you for the listen and thoughts on the mix. I have been told I mixed a little guitar-centric. Good luck to you!

Listening back i could have scooped a little more midrange out on the guitars to make room for the vocals…but those guitars were already so scooped i was worried about making them too thin and hollow. Couldawouldashoulda LOL. Thanks for the listen and good luck!

Pretty nice mix yes. Personally I would eq down the 2k on guitars to make them smoother and more ear-friendly, but hey… it’s death metal, it’s supposed to be naaasty right? :D

Kickass mix dude! Loving the ferocious snare and bass. Well balanced and bangin’ mix! Best of luck! Cheers!
