It is a matter of taste in the arrangement, I made a conscious choice about the orchestral percussion, as for me it does not feel “military”. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder (in this case listener). But I respect your taste and opinion very much, it is also an easy fix to remove it if this track moves forward in any way and the artist as well feel that is the right way for them.
