Very nice work! Great balance, drums sound nice and punchy and the vocal sits great at the chorus. My only note would be that I would like to hear the vocal up a little in the verses, but, on the other hand, having them tucked in just a little draws in the listener and provides more contrast with how they sit in the chorus, so I’d take that with a grain of salt. Well done!

Solid mix. Sounds like you kept and/or leaned on the real kick which is admirable!
Obviously a great sounding kick, but it was tuned lower than I prefer for this style and once I realized Mr. Carrell had just gone with the sample entirely for the mix I went ahead and went that way too.
Anyhow, I like that you made that choice and tailored your mix around the original kick as the sort of anchor – very cool.
Everything sounds nice and balanced and presents the song well. Well done!
