Hey Diogo,
As I told you I chose for not of a too much stereo mix this time.
Yesterday I checked everything and guess what. Well check out my new entry and the text that I wrote.
Even though some liked my mix……it was only the mono as my plugin that I use to check the mono and stereo field was set to mono when bouncing.
I feel so…….well fill it in for yourself. Hahahaa.Hey Arvid,

I feel so…….well fill it in for yourself. Hahahaa.Someone in the comments on my youtube upload pointed out that my mix almost sounded mono. Well, guys, I totally focked up.
When I entered the contest I had been sick in bed for two bloody weeks and it lasted as with so many others in Italy….3 whole weeks.
I mixed the song nonetheless and I thought that I did a great job.So, I could not believe that I made a mix like that when listening back to it and thought that it must have been because my head was still full of headaches and such. But then today I checked and went to my mastering project and guess what. I bounced the song with the Brainworx bx_solo plugin set to mono. Aaaahhhh.
What a nightmare. So, I will insert a link to listen to the song how it had to be……in blooodddyyy STEREO!!!!!
Oh maaaannn!!!! Hahahaha.-

in reply to: Another Love Song (Thomas Kramer MIX) #24336I guess the guitars are a bit bright but then again…..that changes to sound of the song to someone’s likings for which it turns out to be good for the direction you took. Well done!
Oeps…..that snare sound fantastic as well as the whole mix. Competition here folks. Lol!!!!
Do not understand how the comment section really works. It would be nice if it put the reply straight under the initial comment so that we know if we had already answered. But thanks for your kindness. I will check you out as well.
You are right there. I chose for that approach. You know, most of the pro mixing engineers go for a mono approach nowadays. I though that the song was so much straight forward that I went with the idea to let it come out of the speakers instead of trying to create ambience. But very good observation. And the fact that you noticed it, well says that you have got good ears. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks. I will check you out as well. Curious what you have come up with!
Yes, you are right there. At first I thought it was ok. Now, a few weeks in….I noticed that myself. But you know, I always leave some room for mastering. A professional mastering engineer always has got better tools to put in that silky high end. I guess I should have considered differently this time because it is a mixing contest. It is just in my workflow not to overdo things in case a mastering engineer wants to have a go with it. Thanks for your advice. Well appreciated.
Thank you very much! Will check you out as well.
in reply to: Another Love Song (Jens Bsdok – Mix) #24329It definitely moves. Great mix!
It is quit flat in my opinion. It could have popped out a bit more in the chorus. Not enough low end. But hey….that is just taste. The balance of your mix is great though. A bit more 300hz in the snare would have come a long way. But who am I to be nasty……great mix! Good luck!
I should be the winner. At least that is what anybody else thinks. But anybody else is always wrong! Lol.
in reply to: Leonidas Christakos – Another Love Song / Mix #24326I think that the snare squashes too much in the breaks. But I always think a lot knowing that my mix is probably not better than this one. So, well done!!!!
There is definitely too much reverb on the vocals. But then again….it is very nicely placed in the mix. Which makes it tasteful and it isn’t easy to pull that off. Well done!
