    Thanks CIRemix.

I did spend quite some time on those hats… in the end this is what I Landed on. I tried to not have them loud but still be present enough in the mix to enhance the rock vibe that I was trying to achieve here.

    Dude!
This is just great. Hands down.

    But:
It sounds like you have a little distortion on the lead vocal track. It might be that you meant to do that as a stylistic choice, and if so, it´s all good.
But if not…. I would spend some time trying to get rid of it. If it is removed you will also be able to turn the lead vocal up some more, something that I think your remix deserves….. Hope that this helps. Great work.

    Cheers.

    Hey studio_mocha
    Thanks for your feedback.

Please elaborate as to what you think is out of phase.
Distortion: Could that be on the lead vocal?

Hard to fix what if I do not know where to start…..;-)

    Thanks ReNo Mellow

That must be the snare bottom you are talking about…. As a drummer it tends to be a pet peeve that I am destined to drag around…But I will look into it:-)

A little kick and snare heavy, they stick out from the rest of the kit…..
You should apply a de-esser on the vocals, it is quite though on the ears.
Maybe find a reverb, not too big!, and slap it on the lead vocals to make them sit better with the rest of the mix.
In general you have a lot of things going for you in this mix. Time for tweaking all of the details, like what instruments should be in focus when and where.

Hopefully you can use these pointers?
    Have a great day.

    Hey Mircea.

You have a lot of good going on here….. However. You have almost no transient coming through on your kick…..It disappears in the mix. Also, the snare is almost only transient, no body to the sound. Your reverb on the snare is also quite big and seems disjointed from the rest of the kit. Maybe also try turning the overheads and room mics up a little bit. It will make your drums sound bigger and like they belong together with rest of the band…
    Hope that this helps…

I have linked to my version….. In this you can hear what I am talking about regarding the drums. If you like it or not is entirely up to you;-)
    Have a nice day…

I have tried to stay true to the overall feel of the original mix while trying to focus on the “rock elements” without going completely overboard……
Hope that someone can find some kind of enjoyment in this mix…..
