Ooh great mix Francis – drums are spot on for sure, got punch, cymbals not too sharp and overall nice and smooth. My immediate thought was I’d prefer the vocals a bit more upfront at the start but once I’d dialled in to your sound I really like it. Very nice!
Thanks @FranW! I appreciate your comments – yes it is possibly over-cooked a little! In the end I preferred that to losing it behind the bass/weighty snare and guitars, although of course less compression may have helped this. Having said that a lot of the bass has been taken out of the comp sidechain so it may be the master bus that is causing what you hear. Anyway, I wanted to ensure the big bass/snare stops punched through. Probably like everyone else I could hear about 300 things that needed tweaking the second I had sent my entry!

Like it Stefan, overall a nice mix. It did feel a little cramped to me (mono) for the verses but I think you were using that to make the chorus bigger when you opened things out? Probably just a personal preference thing – good luck anyway!
Nice one Carlos – just my thoughts, although everything is there and sounding good, the overall tonal balance seems skewed towards the top end. Might be worth looking at it in Truebalance or Reference? All the best

Thanks! Yes yours is a more mellow mix for sure and very nicely done, our intros are almost identical in terms of arrangement though! Amazing how many different ‘feels’ can be had from exactly the same recordings. All the best

Hey thanks @TBachor, yes I found the drums to be a real challenge overall – trying to capture the energy with weight and not swamping everything else – that was the aim anyway!
