You added that lower vocal harmony in the chorus. Sounds great

actually forget what I said !
    It’s in there.
I’ve really enjoyed a lot of the really creative ‘remixes’
I reckon there should be another name for it when a remix is actually a full Re-arrangement

Hey cool ideas. just one thing though, I really miss the all important off beat reggae chops to make give it that authentically reggae vibe . I know there’s some elements in there that touch on it but if you can add a at least a guitar pronouncing the off beat chops it would step up the reggae vibe .

Hi. The link to your mix doesn’t seem to be showing up properly .
I think you pit the link into the tags section instead of in the post

I forgot to add that I don’t know if the m/s processing I did was the ‘right’ choice to make but I ran out of time to really experiment so I went with it

    Hey I like that you’ve added 16th Tambo’s in the chorus . We’ll Aries at I think that’s what you’ve done .
I toyed with that idea but didn’t actually follow through with it

Hi Zrumley, thanks for listening It’s cool that you noticed those things .
I’m away from home from a week so I can can’t access the project to tell you exactly but I recall I put a chorus effect on the keys to sort of smear it across the stereo field . I also used the same effect , or similar, on the pedal steel but more subtly.
For panned guitars I sent them to a “real space’ (stereo ) reverb and also sent them , as well as other instrument , pre-panning, to a mono spring reverb to try help the hard panned elements sound more attached to the rest of the mix but not sending so much to that centred mono reverb that it pulls them away from the panning left and right sound. It it’s not a boingy spring reverb though ,
I also did some mid/side processing to the whole mix and raised the level of the side information by about 1db.
Hope this helps and makes sense .

There’s other things I did but can’t quite recall exactly but if you want to know I’m happy to check it out again after I get back home .
    Thanks heaps for the feedback
    Jules

Cool mix. Sounds like it’s mostly mix on an analogue desk?
