    Big chunky drums! As someone who also thought the drums needed to be a major star of the song i appreciate this. The only thing is i’m not sure if it’s on the drum bus or master, but the compression is really full on for the bass drum, my preference would be to side-chain that so the bass drum isn’t moving so the compression as intensely, but that’s a taste thing. I enjoyed being able to hear the ghost notes and the crisp hi-hat!

    I like it, really open mix. The guitars, particularly the banjo, are really clear and open. Personally i would have liked to hear a little more bass drum, whether by eq, volume or tweaking it in relation to the bass guitar. All good.

    Thanks Julian, there was a lot of guitars and elements to juggle. I did clean up the low end a little on a few instruments just to give room to let the drums punch and give the bass space. I referenced a few similar songs to make sure i hadn’t made it too bright, or removed too much low end and i felt good but having listened to a lot of mixes i know a lot of people have gone for more low end, less mids.

    I like it, drums sound real, good mix. My preference would be to automate the reverb levels up and down a little, like the breakdown chorus would soon cool drier and then have it come back in when the drums hit but the feel is good.

    Thanks, wasn’t sure if went overboard on automation and edits like reverse snares, but i think the bridge really pops. Fun!

    Nice mix, really fat drums. For my preferences a little bass heavy, like maybe some high-pass filters could clear it up, but good balance and punchy.

    I like how the snare slaps and really wide separation on the guitars.
