    Thank you Dan! That’s exactly what I was struggling with for a good while. In the end, lots of transient shaping on both kick & snare, combined with an underlying snare sample and an extra “punch” drum bus mixed in parallel did the trick. I liked yours a lot, it’s clear, but not harsh at all! Cheers!
