Quite a disaster this mixing contest. One of the winner mixes is unlistenable and has a massive low end problem. Gregory’s remix is an absolute masterpiece and should definitely be in the top 3. Anyway, fuck it and keep rockin boys and girls! ✊
After listening to the track I felt I needed to emphasize the emotion and the groove. I thought this is a madman taking revenge, I have to give him a chainsaw. 😉 Before the “You have to tell me something” lyrics, you should hear the chainsaw turning on!! There is intentionally a little more at 400 to 500 hz in it (Bad Kick). I also didn’t want to cut too much out of that area on the vocals because I wanted you to hear his chest and His full anger. The track should sound like a Demon is coming at you with spread wings.
I ended up having some troubles because of a stupid export mistake, so I couldn’t make some fixes, but I had to meet the deadline.
However, I have a 5 to 10 percent better version that I might upload when the winners are known to respect the contest rules!
There’s no reason to delete your track! Just keep going if that’s what you want to do. Just don’t make this one mistake: DO NOT underestimated room Treatment. I and many others lost years because of this.
You don’t have to wait until you’re a “big shot” either, because we’re all learning. At some point the time will come when you start to despair, you have to get through these times, over and over again, even if you make mistakes!

I forgot to mention that the bass you hear in the intro is not the one in the mix. That’s a low cut only for fx!

Compared to my references, I find my mix is even 3-5% too dark.

I’m sure the “click” of the kick makes you think there isn’t enough low end, but for this kind of double bass play is not much more possible in my opinion, or you get a lifeless standing wave! Have referenced Slipknot with nero forte.
