All in all it was a real pleasure to produce this song. They clearly pointed out in the initial announcement video that Lianne will choose the winners alone and that she’s open to all kinds of productions. I don’t work with a DAW in my studio but instead with an anlog setup including an 8 track tape machine. So I produced the song exactly the way I typically produce my own songs. And I am very proud of my result, I really like how it all turned out. Now, after listening to all the winners I can clearly say that my version is different from all those productions. Maybe a bit too unpolished to be considered. :-)

There was a post on Produce Like A Pro’s Instagram around mid June where they screenshotted a mail by Lianne confirming she has now listened to all the tracks. But I cannot find it anymore, maybe it was posted in their story. So I guess we just need to be a bit more patient. Although a little status update would be nice of course. :-)
Thanks a lot, appreciate it! 🙏 I’m using 4 microphones: Glyn Johns setup (overhead and side) + bass drum + “Wurst” in the middle of the kit to glue everything together. Some compression on the “Wurst”, a bit of EQ-ing and panning and then sending it as a stereo signal to my tape machine. Reverb added later in the mix and that’s it.
