To be honest, there is a pretty simple mix. Just balance and SSL Native 4K E emulation (highly recommended, by the way). For drums, I like to use three parallel buses – Arousor for compression, Culture Vulture from UAD for saturation and Elysia Karakter for more saturation :)
As for YT, yeah it seems like there seems to be some normalization, but I hate Soundcloud compression.
