    Hello!

    Here is my entry and first ever attempt at mixing Death Metal! I enjoyed the challenge and took on the extra challenge of just using the provided tracks with no extra samples–I probably could have saved A LOT of effort had I gone that route, but that’s what I stuck to and I think it turned out pretty rocking and heavy in the end. I liked the stick clicks in the track, but not where they were so I put them at the beginning of the track as a count-in to the thunder! haha

    Cool idea moving the sticks, I’m a sucker for a count in at the beginning of a song.
    Heavy mix. I like the how the vocals sit, and their ping pong delay is fun.

    I think you’ve done a good job Wyku! The only thing that stands out to me are the hats seem a little lonely panned hard left – they sound like they are not part of the kit. Your EQing skills are pretty decent – good luck!

    Hi. I read your comment on my song and was interested in how your mix sounds, thanks for your time btw. Anyway, It would be interesting to hear what your listening environment is like? Speakers or headphones? What kind of room? because while you thought my mix was a bit thin I think yours is a bit boomy and undefined in the low end – a translation issue. Other than that it sounds cool – nice delays on the vocals.

    @ledzettervall Good point on listening environment. I just got some Kali LP6 V2’s a few weeks ago, but I listened on different sources along the way and referenced other tracks as well. I’m still getting used to the new setup though and this is my first mix in like 15 years lol.
