    Hi everyone!

    Decided to go the production route on this one, rather than a heavily edited remix. Added a string section, drums, electric guitars and bass and tried to mix it as well as I could. There’s also a short guitar solo :)

    All criticism is welcome. Good luck in the competition!

    Hi Ville!

    Nice and fun production! Great playing and choosing of instrumentation. I like the heavy sounding choruses a lot, thinks they fit really well. Strings are great all the way thrue but really nice when playing the same note as Lianne sings. Sounds great. On the downside its just the sound quality I think. It lacking of this kind of arrangement that deserves better. It would be nice to hear in better quality.

    Thanks for the comments! Appreciate it. Mixing and masteting is definitely not my strongest suit, I wonder if the mix is overall a bit too dark and its the lack of high end that makes it sound poor in quality? Or perhaps some issues with compression?

    Listening again :-) I think it sounds great eq vise over all, not lacking any frequences to my ear. Over all compression nice too. I do think the cymbals sounds a little bit to harsh here and there. I think its just that the Mp3 compression is audible? Im not sure what causing that? Maybe trying out different Mp3 converters.

    Good point. I believe it might be caused by converting the mp3 to mp4 for Youtube. Gotta investigate further if any rendering settings help make a difference. Thanks!

    Yeah I agree with the general consensus here, I was wondering on the strings patches. They seems to cut in and out rather abruptly which adds to synthetic string feel and takes me out of the moment. A little love on the expression/mod wheel to give the strings a chance to swell like real players would go along way here. For reference if you want to, check out mine. I went the string route as well but spent like hours on making it feel real which is shot hand for using expression/mod wheel to get there. Super cool tho man. Seriously.
