This is my first time ever doing a full mix.
@thoult79 : some things i noticed in your mix :
– your mix sounds very distorted : compression/limiter mastering issue ? This might be your biggest problem. You could have done a killer mix and then ruin it with bad processing on the master bus. Better not do anything there than ruining your mix with a bad move
– don’t forget to clean up the tracks that are noisy during the “silence” parts : second guitar, bass. It all adds up and it can be heard in a full mix and sound annoying and distracting and not pro
– the guitars sound weird frequency wise, as in not balanced.
It’s a pity, although we can hear that the work has been done. It would be possible to add more volume by spreading the guitars along the panorama.
