Hi there,
This is my submission for the Rate My Mix – Dead To The World Mix/Remix Competition
@KohleAudioKult @ProducelikeaproI had significant fun mixing this. Thanks for the old school multitracks. This is my favorite genre, but I’ve never mixed something recorded from this era, so I took my time with it and tried to make it sound true to the period but also as heavy as possible. Everyone in the band performed really well and they wrote some solid riffs, so it was a lot of fun.
I was tempted to include the moment in the vocal track at 1:43, you can hear him go “dun dun dun dun dun dun!” Pretty sweet moment, but I resisted temptation.
It’s been great listening to all the other interpretations. Thanks for having me in the community.
Hehehe I couldn´t resist, … Great Mix!
I liked the attempt to mix up the panning on the guitar breakdown at the ~2:45 mark and thought about doing something similar (I just went straight up the middle for those parts to mix it up), but you lost the ambience/noise from the rest of the track for some reason so it sticks out in a way I’m sure you weren’t intending. :) Nice job otherwise! I like the sludgy bass tone you got.
Ha, i love the reverse Vocal Effect at 2:00. Really nice touch! Overall thumbs up for the old school approach.
Nice mix pal!
just pay attention to sub lows
The “Dun, dun, dun” and other spontaneous moments were awesome but I couldn’t think of a way to include them either :)
Nice mix! \m/Great mix. Cleaned up while saving the rawness. Also nice FX ideas. Dig it!
Nice old-school work here. Fresh-polished out jumped out of the 90´s. Cheers man and good luck. 🤘🎸👍
