Hi everyone for first time!
This is my submission:I chose to do a remix. I wanted to push the song towards rock. At the same time, using many elements of the original recording session. I slowed down the tempo and changed the composition. I flipped the chords and moved the scale. Although I allowed myself to go back to the original one at the end of the song. I made a new drum and bass track for the whole thing. I used samples from the library Drumforge SOAP, recorded in the hangar. Mixed in different proportions in different fragments with the Ezdrummer library. I recorded clean and distorted guitars. I used Neural DSP Gojira plugins.
Some details:
– Intro – I used, among others Banjo and Hammond tracks. In the first one I added a Whammy, in the second one I added a shutter effect. There is also Steel guitar, with overdrive. Steel appears in many other places.
It’s only 4 bars and we get into the powerful chorus.
– Chorus – “larger than life” arrangement and processing.
– The first verse with guitars drowning in reverberation. And a lively conversation between the pool and the drums for contrast and pulse.
– For the second verse, I used the originally recorded muted guitars. I moved vocals to the rhythm of the canon, building tension.
– After the second chorus there is a solo – original guitar and steel guitar.
– In Bridge, which is also an outro, many background elements from the original return. And the major character. Here I end, ending gently and – I hope – encouraging you to listen again from the strong beginning. :)Thank you for listening!
I’d love to hear your opinion.Greetings!
