Thanks, (but my name is not John :)
It was a very challenging project and I’m just glad to get through it, I learned a lot on the way! Did you do one too? Send me a link if you have.

Thanks very much GonzoDriver, I was just happy to get it done, it took me ages and the final piece was the solo, I had no idea what to do but just waited and waited until something came up. I haven’t had a chance to listen to many of the others’ versions because I needed a break from the song as it was driving me nuts haha. I just had a listen to your version, wow, what a production, really original!!

    Good luck for the contest!

I finally got around to posting something about the process of working on this song. Well, it has been an incredible learning experience for me. I mainly play guitar, some mandoline, and charango too and have dabbled in music production for a few years in my home studio.
I did this in Reaper on a 5-year-old laptop with a few VST plugins after following some advice from Kenny Gioia from the Reaper forums who had a few videos showing how to produce a remix. The link is here for anyone interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8H7Wa3bmMmM

I must admit I haven’t listened to too many of the other entries basically because I need a break from the song after listening to it for so many hours, but I listened to a few and there are some great versions. good luck to everyone!
