Hi guys! I would really appreciate any critics and thoughts on my very first time ever mixed for public use. I am not doing this for any win (I know I have NO chance with hundreds of AWESOME mixes!)
Me and my mom sang additional background vocals here. Only thing I think of is mayve reduce the volume on the guitars when the git and steel plays their solos. And I am not quiet happy with the reverb on the main vocals.
Thank you so much and good luck to all of you!Sounds good for a first-timer. Nice idea with the additional bg-choir. You’re on the right way! Next time, send the vocals to a stereo-fx-channel, not mono. That will give the mix more room.
Good luck to you.
Thank you very much for your feedback!
I got no experiance with separate FX-Channels but that’s a damn good idea!Nice mix for a first timer bro. I feel like the bass is lacking a little bit, also try compression in stages so the mix buss is not heavily processed. I loved your background vocals, very good production choice. Keep on the good workkk
Pretty kickin’ mix man, you guys did an awesome job on vocals too
As a first timer, you did great!! Also, I loved your vocal production.
A great reverb I use in all of my mixes is the Convology XT, by Wave Arts. It’s a convolution reverb and it’s free! It comes with very nice stock sounds and you can buy more on their website.
Keep it up, man!
thank you so much for your feedback! Very much appreciate that! Also thanks a lot for the recommendation on the reverb, I will try it out for sure!
Thank you Nick! I might just get rid of the multicompressor on the master, I guess that’s not neccessary for this song. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you @demode_iowa! I was really a little afraid of getting much critics on my mix but now I feel very justified!
