    oh my, talk about last minute dot com

    I was surprised when Kristian replied to my comment on his video saying “Do it!”

    so, I did it, a twenty minute long “ambient” remix of Malamor’s Dead to the World

    unfortunately I have had to send my track as a 192 kb/s mp3 because the 320kb/s file was too large to send, and the 192 version may still get hijacked somewhere along the line

    hey ho… my fault… I should have checked first

    oh, I don’t know how far you got, and I wouldn’t expect anyone to listen to this thing, but at around 16 minutes in I bring a drum loop in

    and everything is based on the original stems plus loads of effects and a bit of Pigments granular synth engine :-)

    Yes Ambient is fantastic. Incredible Idea. Brian Eno rules. PaulXStretch and derivates are good. The problem I have with it is the add up of noise (when it is either static or really harsh, on your track it is actually not too annoying). I like your piece the most when it clears up and your flute-like textures, grains and “Space” tones are coming through. Of course on ambient there is so much stuff to explore in composing and also listening. I like it the way it is. Thanks for that! I guess a 4 or 5 Minute version with the best bits could be amazing too.
