After hearing some of these truly amazing submissions I was inspired/scared to death to go for a more orchestral feel/Eleanor Rigby vibe which I get is kinda crazy but i’ll be honest I had a blast doing it. Which meant a dry staccato string sound a ton movement. After like 3 or for listens, this song to me felt like a plea from Leanne to herself to be genuine and present, and that really struck a chord with me (pun intended) to keep it more raw and lean in to the the emotion of it. Basically the name of the game for me here was keeping it dissonant with a driving feel WITHOUT distraction from the message. So things like Mandolin and banjo int the chorus help push the rhythm while staying the hell out of the way plus I add Banjo on like everything lol. Thanks for the opportunity Warren and thank you Lainne for sharing that song with us. Cheers you guys =)

I think the orchestrations on this sound great. I love them. Really cool mix, and what you did supported a lot of what she already did in her original. The staccato sounds during the CHORUS were a tiny bit loud in the mix, to my ears, and hid Lianne’s voice a bit, but that’s just a minor thing. Great work over all. I actually listened to the whole song, and wanted to keep listening!

It’s a beautiful idea to do it this way. Strings and orchestration really blend well with her voice, that’s what I thought after listening to this. One vocal track in the chorus would have been enough for me and would make it more focused in my opinion but apart from that I really liked this. The mid section was very good, I enjoyed the yeah part / transition after the second chorus very much!

Really nice ,smooth arrangement! Matches her voice! Just sometimes it’s hidden, a bit in the background for my taste! But defenitly great remix, with really good instrument choises! Keep up the good work! Cheers! LEVY

Really great! The strings and the mandolines and banjos mix really well. Really liked that staccato idea too. Sounds great overall! I agree that the vocals were left behind a bit but it sounds great.
