fist official remix or mix I have ever done so hear ya go ………….fist time ever sending a track for real peer review after leaving music for 20 years, and now a year into trying to do this again . last year mid January I opened UA Luna “I tried pro tools but couldn’t figure it out” for the fist time and let me tell ya …..wow ……20 years is lifetimes in Tec….what took me days in a real studio takes seconds now all the way down to rewind …waiting for tape or ADAT to just rewind and link and play we are blessed today , just think of this, I would have a channel go down …ok move it over and continue ..then after session pull it out and re seat a spare strip 2 hours of jacking around and then wait weeks and weeks to even get it back from a shop …this is amazing !!! ….mind you I was a tracking guy at a studio I did no mix or master ever…o and if I tracked like a jack ass I would of been push out the door so fast they would of forgot I had the beverage in my hand they told me to fetch for them ….my question is this ….how do I take a track like this and make it sound like Lamb of god Quality , how do I get drums to just explode ? or how do I get the bass to have the grind that it needs like the band tool , or guitars to jump out at ya like five finger death punch…..this is my question ….what am I missing ? is it the saturation, is it in limiting, is it in EQ , all the above ….?
my goal is this ….help artists ….I got fucked so many times walking into a studio , completely prepared , band Was on point and Bamm it sounded like a garage band ….why ? I know why and so do you ! the person who we were paying ! and not a little but but thousands and thousands , I want to change this …I need to give back to the music not suck it dry, I would love to make music, music again ….not sucking upcoming artists dry….I want to do artist deals….you make some bucks I make some bucks …. lets gamble together ! isn’t that what life is about …creating and gambling on something together ? you win we all win …..and its not about Money its about creating something that provokes energy and thought and emotion that nobody can ever take from the music, created by artists that weren’t starring at the clock on the wall wondering how they were going to pay for it….https://soundcloud.com/user-590089079/malamor-dead-to-the-world?si=69ab31ad00334979b16f8d3d99fdaa5e&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
