I like sizzle and snapiness on snare but I’d add some body to it as well. Guitars could possibly need some more weight to them but also cutting of some fizziness. Kick needs to be more pronounced by having low end punch and clickiness on top but it might be drowned because there’s an excessive low end build/uncontrolled low end in the mix, be sure to high pass anything unneccessary on individual tracks and EQ out quite a bit of the low end and high end from reverbs. I like automation of vocals on certain parts like raising the volume of high pitched backup vocals and automating reverb/delay on certain places, although most of the time imo they should be somewhat dry and really upfront. Maybe using more compression in multiple stages to make everything sit just a little better and make overall cleaning with basic EQ moves.

I like the aggressivness and vibe otherwise.

    Hello Master Dejv,

Thank you very much for your insightful feedback and advice.
I’m going to play the game and I leave my mix like that for the contest but could I send you a mix with your applied advice?

It’s especially on the bottom that I can’t control because there are many EQs and low cuts on each instrument. It may be my EQ on the mix bus which is a little too strong on 100HZ but there is just +1db of boost.

But as you say it may be on the Reverbs that there are too many low frequencies.

Regarding the guitars, it is voluntary on my part that they are not too powerful and a little behind but still aggressive. I do have a high cut around 10KHZ and I cleaned the 3KHZ…

For the voices I have no automation, it’s probably the automation of the instruments that gives the impression of automation on the voice.

Love the fx automation on the vocals. Wish I’d done something with respect to that now. Very creative! Overall sounds like a really clear mix. Perhaps a little “scooped” somewhere, perhaps in the low-mids, but I guess that’s the kind of thing that can be solved in mastering. Really like the balance between everything, though!
