    Damn, I had finished this track in about 6 hours including a few refinements. I wanted to keep the sound raw and natural while still maintaining clarity and little to no mixing artifacts (such as pesky cymbal bleed or muffled toms).
    This was a fun one. Being used to modern production, this old skool track is quite a refreshing project to work on!

    vocals too burried in the mix perhaps ? More high and presence end would be nice, the original is too bassy and raw by itself

    Usually I would agree! Though I’m going for a more old school vibe. Usually vocals are not very compressed or present in 90’s death metal. It’s more a part of the music rather than the main importance :)
