Epic sort of 60s British Blues Rock over Country with hint of SRV/disco (obviously Cat People is my go to for that).

I like when Country stray into blues so I got going with this arrangement and remix idea quite fast and started shaped up my skills on keys in E-flat but with other projects I unfortunately got a little timecrunched for all of the tracking and especially the comping and mixing.

I know things that annoy me with takes that I didn’t find for the comping and some automation but going to my comfort zone last minute mmsaved a lot of that. In my dynamic guitar performance of whole fluid takes I sweeped the volume on my dedicated E-flat strat to input my fuzz face and treble booster then stomping on a crybaby to get all the tones as the songs went along and I just freaked out with it all. That saved me on the last day where I thought I was gonna run out of interesting ideas of layering transitioning elements. So here you got my more bitter and and darker and crude E-flat strat and slightly Geezer Butler style bass (and hodes and Piano)-driven Remix!

Nice arrangement kickmaestro – interesting and creative reharmonization. Are the vocals a little too quiet?
    Clever ending…..
    Good luck :-)

really good guitar theme with the intro sound. The problem is really the lack of clarity and depth with the voice and sometimes a dissonance of the 2nd guitar with the voice on certain passages. Interesting sound with the rhodes. Good musicianship.

Yes particularly the first chorus I made a stupid automation line on the vocals that somehow I didn’t listen to because I was so crunched on time. I was so annoyed to see that when I re-opened up the session. I really only cut a little bit surgically on bass and guitar then automated the vocals to get a better mix with much more defined bass as well, and I’m so annoyed that I was 2h or so short on time for that. Am I allowed to make a new post with that mix, or does that disqualify me? I am sure they look at emails for submissions but I want to be 100% sure

Amazing Bonamassa-style remix! Very creative, although I’m not 100% satisfied with the reharmonization, I really like your version! :-)

    Good luck to you.

My REVISED mix of my Remix is significantly better. I honestly didn’t think I had this level of mixing in me. I’m really happy with but I’m nearly as annoyed that my actual competition submission isn’t as great as this. I’m sharing it here anyways: Another Love Song – Remix REVISED MIX https://soundcloud.com/christoffer-bjerklund/christoffer-bjerklund-3?ref=clipboard&p=a&c=1&si=80bf01da11a8483688ae1071c2f4529f&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

It’s not an attempt at a double submission.
