I enjoyed doing the complete music production and also the mix and master for this track.
I wanted to bring in some different flavours. So i composed few phrases, layers and interludes for Sitar, Flute and shehnai and it came out good i hope. I also did sing few phrases which are used like ornamentation for the track making sure it won’t overpower or clash Liannes vocals.
The guitars given by Lianne was only used at the last ending. I did not use it anywhere else. So it will have its impact and that too with the flute it would sound great.
I then wanted to have different treatment for different parts of the song.
Lianne Kaye did a great job by embedding lots of dynamics in her tune and singing. The song itself has a peak and slow start which crescendo slowly step by step. So i wanted to enhance it.
So i wanted to give the song a start which should not be usual. Then slowly developed with guitars, base, synthesisers and about 6layers of strings filling up the important areas.
I slowly played along with Liannes dynamics and made the peak fully loaded with some electronic music.
I deliberately wanted to cut most of the music after the peak portion and treat it only with orchestral strings and flavour it up with Flute and sitar.
And again slowly developed to the peak portion and give it a blast, but i also wanted the song not to end with the same electronic music with fully loaded tracks.
I wanted the guitar to gel with flute, sitar and shehnai to glow with Lianne which does gives a satisfying peaceful ending.
I hope you’ll like it.
It was unexpected for me, but in a very good way, nice work!
@Peaceleaf thank you dude. Am glad you liked it.
