I really like how hard the chorus hits on your mix, definitely a nice guitar driven mix, I feel like you mixed the drums (especially the kick and toms) way better than I did
Very good mix! everything is clear and audible well. Does hybrid work mean external outboard hardware? What was used?
Well balanced mix sound. What you use from the analog part on the process?
I like the cohesiveness! I tried to hybrid mix but I recently moved and none of my gear is setup.. I used an old Behringer as a summing mixer and it was a little muddy and harsh. My last resort was my BLA Bluey for vocals and of course the tube or something went bad :/ Went 100% itb for this mix. Best of luck man! Your mix is definitely up there.
F#ck me…just wrote a nice review…lost power before submitting! FML!
Second try: Nice mix! solid, well balanced, sonically smooth. Guitar forward works.
If I had to nit-pick…Lead guitar & lap steel needed to come forward a bit more.
The lead vox effect seemed to be heavy to my ear (just back it off a tiny bit). Now, we would all like to know more about YOUR hybrid approach. What gear, etc.?
Here’s more on my hybrid approach:Best of luck!
Thanks! I used my own kick sample and didn’t use the kick sample provided.
Thanks! Feel free to ask me any questions!
Thanks! Yes exactly. My mixbus consist of a Kayahan stereo mixbuss solid 4000 and an SSL G-Comp both hardware. I also processed the vocals with outboard gear: Distressor, an API EQ, a 1176 Bluey and RND 542 Tape simulator.

Thanks bro! I did use my Bluey for the lead vocals, but compressed with a distressor prior to it. APi EQ into 1176 into RND 542. ;)
