    My entry into the Malamor – Dead To The World 2022 Contest.

    Go easy on me as I’ve only been mixing for just over a year or so. I decided that as I’m not too experienced yet that I’d not try and throw the kitchen sink at this and just let the original performance and energy try to show through as best as I could get it. Has a kind of Old-School feel to it that I settled on.

    I tried to not to do too much with the drums in the way of overdubbing samples, so all the drum tracks are the originals, just eq’d etc

    good mix man. like the tone on the bass. only thing I would do is bring up the kick a little bit and add some automation for the double kick parts, and maybe turn down the cymbals a touch, and maybe bring down the delay/echo on the vocals but over all a good mix
