Hey, this was fun, really great playing, particularly the drummer with those ghost notes pushing throughout, and recorded so crisply.
Cool mix Francis — kick drum thumps. Nice work.
Great mix
Thanks, wasn’t sure if went overboard on automation and edits like reverse snares, but i think the bridge really pops. Fun!
Great drum sound Francis, I like it. I found they were quite tricky to bring to the front with everything else going on, great work.
Thanks Julian, there was a lot of guitars and elements to juggle. I did clean up the low end a little on a few instruments just to give room to let the drums punch and give the bass space. I referenced a few similar songs to make sure i hadn’t made it too bright, or removed too much low end and i felt good but having listened to a lot of mixes i know a lot of people have gone for more low end, less mids.
Great mix, FranW, good luck!
This is my mix:
Powerful, radio-ready mix. I can’t find any issues!
Good luck to you.
I like it, really open mix. The guitars, particularly the banjo, are really clear and open. Personally i would have liked to hear a little more bass drum, whether by eq, volume or tweaking it in relation to the bass guitar. All good.
Than you Rentaroot, FranW…good luck!
Ooh great mix Francis – drums are spot on for sure, got punch, cymbals not too sharp and overall nice and smooth. My immediate thought was I’d prefer the vocals a bit more upfront at the start but once I’d dialled in to your sound I really like it. Very nice!
The drums sounding really awesome, especially the kick drum. The bass is drivin’. Smooth mix. Good job.
Most finished mix I’ve heard at the moment. Nice
