Hi everyone, here is my entry :

It have been a really cool experience to work with such great tracks !
I have try to mix it as clean as I can, keeping the original vibe of the song. No triggers except the one that come with the tracks. Had fun with the rooms mics and the overheads ! Mixing reals amps and not ampsim was fun too. My mix isn’t really loud as I wish and there some noises still here but it’s the last day, I’m sick and my old computer scream for help ! I have listen to a lot of yours mixes the last few days, there so much cool stuff ! :-D

Now I will finally watch Kristian’s, Warren’s and Scott’s mixdowns

    Heheh, nice intro riser.

As I understand you, and your computer, I have the same thing myself. :)
The mix is good, and the volume is not a problem, you can easily add it.

It’s plenty loud, and a good mix too! :)

Nice and loud. I like what you did spreading the Bvox wide. It makes the whole track a lot more interesting.I did something similar in my mix too.

    Thanks Dom85 !

Valf, I know I’ll meet you here ;-)

Serge, my computer is more than ten years old, and I can’t handle a lot of processing, in a way it forces me to be creative with less ^^

Too bad I don’t have flatline, this plugin is magic for loudness without pumping effect

Steve Kilpatrick, a little bit of imager can change everything, not easy to feel it without hearing it (it can be really bad sounding), but it’s powerfull tool to ehance some words or to put two singers at the same time in the center without masking each other. I’ll check your mix !

Good job! The mix is nicely balanced – maybe the cymbals (crashes in particular) are a bit on the loud side, but you’ve captured the vibe of the track well.

Well done! This is very clean sounding. Cymbals a little loud and washy in places. Overall vibe in tact, good shit! If you got a minute to spare check out my mix here, always looking for constructive criticism.

@Ajay Prakash thanks ! A lot of my drums sound come from the overheads and room mics, maybe I should have put down the highs a little bit.

@Shaun Schwanke Thank for your listening ! Yes, the cymbal might be too loud, but you found them washy ? I try to keep them a little bit dark

A little loud overall on the crashes, and then it get a little washy when they are riding the chashes about midway through the track. i think just bringing the cymbals down, specifically those crashes a touch and you are there. Otherwise very heavy, clear mix. Nice job overall.

Maybe I should have automate it. Not easy to dial in the cymbals, especially when I don’t have tool like soothe. I like to saturate them a little bit to reduce their aggressivity. Thanks again for all your feedback
