    Hey everyone!

    Here’s my version of Glow by Lianne Kaye:

    I just kind of did my thing with it, without a specific result in mind. Then I played it to my mate last night, who said, “I can hear this in a Disney movie, being sung by a princess!”, which struck a chord, so I thought, “That’s what I’ll call my mix!”

    …although, that said, maybe don’t let that colour your opinion of it before you’ve listened to it… ;)

    Anyway, just in case anyone’s interested, I composed the track in Reason, using a variety of plugins from the likes of BOZ, Knif Audio, Sonivox, UJAM, MNTRA, Cherry Audio, KV331, Klevgrand, BFD, etc. Then I exported all the channels and mixed everything in Cubase, using another bunch of plugins from people like Brainworx, Soundtoys, Waves, Vertigo, Fielding DSP, Lindell, Acme, kHz, etc.

    I had a lot of fun and I’m really happy with the end result… but I’m really impressed with what I’ve heard by all the other producers who have submitted their own productions – amazing stuff, everyone! I wish you all (and myself ;-) the best of luck!

    Cheers,

    Dan.

    I’m truly impressed by the fusion between the acoustic instruments and synths in your track. The blend creates an intriguing sonic texture that stands out. Excellent work!

    Haha! Glad you think the name fits – my daughter thinks so, too – Frozen obsessed! ;)

    Thanks again for your words about dynamics, etc. – that’s what I was aiming for! :)

    I enjoyed your production, too, btw – left a comment for you, too…

    This definitely takes some twists, similar to how some Disney songs do to fit the film. Very cool! And I loved all the percussion elements!

    @Philipp

    Again, thanks so much – I love doing drums and percussion, one of my 5 favourite things to sequence – and strings are another! Glad you liked the track! :) Yours was really nice, too – brilliant stuff! I left you a comment… Cheers! :)
