Like the creative mixing on the guitars! Hihat/cymbals are a bit too loud/shiny on the top end.
Would appreciate your feedback as well! https://ratemymix.com/topic/james-dupre-another-love-song-mix/

I hear some phase issues and maybe too much chorus on certain elements. In the background every now and then you can hear a slight noise (I don’t know if you use hardware). For my taste the drum cymbals are too bright, perhaps it would have been better to dig the mids and mid-highs less. The vocals too far back in the mix in my opinion.

KYo, thank you for taking the time to listen to my mix.
Regarding your remarks, I am a little surprised when you say that there would be phase problems.
The majority of my mix was work in mono and I checked any phase problems using different software. Everything is OK on this side, both in terms of listening. Unfortunately, I don’t understand at all what you’re talking about about “slight noise”. Could you explain to me?
Concerning the overall sound, I agree with your analysis of the “mediums” as well as the positioning of the voices.
In these cases, I am indeed out of line in the current fashion which consists of keeping the raw sound of everything what is cymbals and putting excessively “upfront” the voice(s). These mixes, generally American, have no depth for the reasons I have just mentioned.
My mix is more akin to 3D which is not very common and generally surprises.
All this being a question of taste, we all know that tastes and colors cannot be discussed…
Thank you again for your feedback, it is always informative.
