    Hey there,

    here comes my entry for the mix contest! What a fun challenge this was! I am looking forward to checking out your remixes, below you can find mine. General idea: make it sound relatively contemporary, but not flashy and still sound underground. Any feedback welcome!

    bass tone is too brutal, I like it a lot but my be not suitable for this track. I like all the effects added to the transitions. Good Luck!

    Thanks for the feedback! I can see your point regarding bass tone. I was struggling to find the balance between too clean and too dirty, in the end, I liked the dirtier version better and thought I should just go with.

    Interesting take on it. Yeah bass tone is killer. :) Guitars are nice and wide- maybe too dominant over vocal tho?
    Drums sound really good- could be more present imho. Nice to listen to regardless- good job!!

    Thanks for checking out my mix, glad you enjoyed it! Guitars have no stereo widening, just a bunch of eq and saturation. Guitar/vocal balance was another struggle, the previous version had vocals more upfront. But to me, that jus did not suit the track. So I decided to go for a more ‘buried’ vocal sound, but I might have overdone it. Drums, don’t even get me started…;)
