Here is my mix of this song. I felt it needed a louder more Pop Rock feel. Only gave myself a day to work it out, but it was fun. Let me know what you think!
Yep you did fill the pop rock genre with that mix i can agree. Snare verb seems a bit too loud in my opinion but it does fit the kit well. As in the solos we do miss the guitar trying to cut through the mix but it’s still a sick mix notheless; Drums are trashy, guitars are filling their jobs, bass is just the right level tho i wouldve added a DI saturator like the REDDi from kush which wouldve been perfect with its mids/highmids saturation to help cut through mixes in this genre. grats
Thanks Bebitt, I appreciate the detail! I will definitely check out the REDDi when I have chance!
Not bad! The mix sounds somewhat cold, lacking warmth; the cymbals sound harsh, and there are moments in the song where the volume increases a lot, like at 2:02. Other than that, good job!
You definitely made it more brighter but it kinda lack some warmth. Nice job.
Thanks Diego and Mo Abi, maybe I’m just a cold guy, haha.
Will think more on that next time.
Good luck!Hi Aersino,
Your drums and bass sound as I wish mine did! Are you a drummer incidental? Seem to have an ear for them.
Overall great mix, but I think it is a slight bit too static and the vocals are a bit reverby and too far back (my 2Cs).Congrats and good luck for the competition
Good Job!
I had the same feeling. -
