    This is my new mix of Malamor’s Dead to the World.

    I previously mixed this song quickly and used some samples to augment the sound, going for a really aggressive sound that updated the original as if it was done today.

    This time, I just mixed it my own way without samples, and using as few plug ins as I could get away with.

    Your kick seems to have too much boxy mids. Especially on those long 16th-note double kick parts.

    My main gripe here is that i hear some overbearing low mids in your mix or something.

    I definitely didn’t pull out THAT many boxy mids from the drums in trying to not overdo anything.
