Blake Brown – Dead To The World Mix

Here is a mix I threw together on cheapo speakers and DT 990s. This is My first time mixing for extreme metal.
For drums I used alot of parallel compression and had a hard time EQing some elements, The cymbal in the first verse had a particularly harsh tone causing me trouble.
For the bass I Warmed up the amp track while also darkening it. I made up for it by boosting highs on the DI to get a much clearer tone from the string and pick noise.
Guitars were simple. High pass, boost high mids and compress.
Vocals are obviously compressed a bit but I also used a saturator to push it forward in the mix and give it a bit of hair.
