Great take! Love how you made the pedal steel the prominent instrument.
Nice ideas here! I think the slowed tempo suits the lyrics well and the arrangement is haunting. Good luck :-)
I went for a more traditional country remix – see what you think……………That one is for the end credits!
And after hearing the song for dozens if not hundreds of times, it’s like a breath of fresh air.
Everything sounds very natural to me (except for, possibly, “…and I don’t need another” refrain at the end), which is a huge achievement in itself! I think your version is great, both musically and production-wise. It’s been said already, but bears repeating: you did an outstanding job with the pedal-steel.
I only wish, you would insert a short pause after “…cause in reality” around 1’30” mark; I feel, it would sound better flow-wise.
All in all – best one, I heard so far. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your comments. But I doubt I will be in any winning position though, in my experience they usually choose the pumped up-tempo “sellable” versions:) I just these things for the heck of it, you know, the idleness-is-a-root-to-all-sorts-of-evil-sort-of-thing.
Again, thank you for taking the time to listen and comment.

Regardless of the outcome, it is evident – you know how to do this thing. Best of luck to you with all your music endeavours!
Just curious … how many are participating from europe?

Creative creativer creatived. Doesn’t mean anything but anybody listening to the song….understands what I mean!!!!!!
OK. So, i guess, probably they already chose the winners. If you were the judges in a contest like this, what would be your criteria for a winner?
Does interpretation matter more than production, or the other way around? Does, respect for the artist, account for more than fixing sonic errors? Is a natural (production wise) approach a safe bet, or is it bold? Is a electronic dance version always the way to “remix”?How do you feel?
