    it might be beneficial for all if we agreed to export music to specific average LUFS value (-18?)
    comparing the track by ear would be much easier, what you think?

    Yes, an this is challenging but sort of “honest” approach in my opinion – no samples on drums with this genre. Or more precisely, I mean – no drum replacement. I think that snare-samples provided with the tracks were quite well chosen and I gladly used them for parallel processing.
    Anyway – congrats for the great mix.

    i agree this “honest” approach require more tweaking with uncertain results :) but samples has their own set of challenges, so i think we cant say if one way is easier and another way is harder. i would like to hear your parallel outcome. if you are speaking about something in my mix, comparing to yours, let me (us) hear how you do it!

    …oh well, the old discussion about the loudness-war… if only everyone knows about that, it could work. Nevertheless I’m pessimistic: “Pandoras box” has been opened a long time ago! ;-)

    Your mix sounds very good, it’s well balanced and has a nice low-end. Everything’s in place. Good job!

    Thank you for listening and positive review.

    My post is not about loudness wars. Its about level matching of songs in this competition. So we can better compare sound, eq, punch, clarity, levels of various instruments, reverbs, etc..

    And to see what works (feels) best. Its about learning isnt?

    the number itself doesnt matter. my point is, the number would be same for all of us (in future, or in some parallel universe maybe:) for easier comparison of our songs

    Yes, I understand what you mean. I think the judges level match the songs when they listen to them.
