@nomanjunction This is my submission to: James Dupre – Another Love Song Contest 2024 It’s a Rate My Mix – Mixing/Remixing contest. https://ratemymix.com/mixing-contests/ The production was stellar so it was very fun to mix. Just pure creativity. Since the song seemed pretty high energy and rolling I aimed for a rock edge. Wanted it so sound big, wide and spacious with hard hitting drums. So basically a large mass of sound coming at you played by superb players. I wanted to emphasize structure of the song by altering what instruments are in focus and also highlight the best juicy bits there were for each instrument.
